After the COVID-19 broke out, a Japanese customer came to us and hoped that we could help them solve the problem of water-soluble membrane laundry bags.
The water-soluble film laundry bags in Japan are mainly used in hospitals and hotels, and are now monopolized by two Japanese companies.
There are two benefits to using water-soluble laundry bags. Firstly, the bags have high barrier properties, which can ensure that the contents stored in the bags do not have odors, liquids, etc. that are lost; On the other hand, due to the characteristic of being soluble in water, the bag and contents can be directly placed together in the washing machine without touching the contents. Due to the outbreak of the epidemic, Japan has a particularly high demand for this water-soluble and high barrier laundry bag, and the market is no longer monopolized by those two companies.
But one pain point that needs to be addressed here is that the laundry bag should be able to withstand liquids below 45 degrees Celsius and not break and dissolve within 24 hours. However, it needs to be completely dissolved within 10 minutes after being placed in 70 degree water in the washing machine.
Domestic water-soluble films generally dissolve quickly at room temperature. Through our efforts, we continuously try to adjust the formula and solve the problems faced by Japanese customers.
